Strangely, I don't get very emotional about most movies. However, due to past experiences, the anime film "End of Evangelion" gets to me. It's never made me cry, but it has a very potent effect on me.
The Harry Potter books got to me several times, especially the last one.
Now, this is strange. Whenever I'm reading about, watching, or looking at nearly anything involving animals, happy or sad, I start tearing up. I have no idea what that's all about.

Foxoftherose...I'm the EXACT same way when it comes to animal related things. That's my weak spot and I'll start crying like a baby. Haha.
The movie "Hachi: A dog's tale" destroys me...every time. It really is an amazing movie though.

The end of Electric Dreams (go ahead, laugh, lol).

    Ladyhawke

Winged Migration (because it is so beautiful)

Methuselah Tree (documentary about bristlecone pines--watch it to find out why, lol).

    What Dreams May Come

    Watership Down

For music--I dare anyone to listen closely to Loreena McKennit's "Lady of Shalott", with dry eyes, lol.

There is a documentary called "The Cove" about the dolphin slaughtering in Japan. By the end of it I couldn't even see. It had to be the most emotional thing I have ever seen. WARNING: Definitely not for the faint of heart!!! There is a scene where you just see the entire cove turn red... Holy crap was I a mess.

spectacular film. I urge everyone to watch it. It is heartbreaking but it really alerts you to the seriousness of whats going on in Taiji. Its sickening and they work very hard to cover it up!!

I love how they sneak in to place underwater mics. I normally hate activists but in this case I would have to shake their hands.

Agreed. These activists have a unique purpose that I think everyone should agree with. And most of the world does agree that these animals should not be killed...Japan is just nuts when it comes to whales and dolphins. They just see them as fish or a pest. But what is going on in Taiji is just a slaughter. Those animals are being killed in the most inhumane way possible...Its so sad to see it. I don't know how those men sleep at night.
