He's a really skeptical snake - didn't buy the "dead mouse jig". THen wouldn't eat the black mouse - but on site of the black/white spotted BAM. I'll be happy enough getting him to take a fresh killed next week.

What you have there is a discerning snake, lol. He wants to ensure he doesn't get any lower-class food.

i would just like to state, for no particular reason except for the record, that i could care less if people feed their bp's live prey. sure, there is potential danger. but uhh, snakes are natural born killers.

I feed my bp frozen mice. When I first got it, she didn't like frozen mice but took to live. I then put her back on frozen. As for thawing, I put the mouse in a disposible cup with luke-warm water until it's competely thawed. Hope this helps!

Re: LIVE, FROZEN, OR FRESH KILLED
I personally dont get frozen mice. I mean do you guys store them in your frezer along with your own food? yuck.!!!!!. I only have one BP so i am ok with weekly purchasing my rodents every 7-10 days. I have thought about breeding mice for convinence maybe 2 females to a male..but other than that im staying away from frozen to much hazel. I just grab the mosue from its tail, flick it on the head, and while its K.O i give it to my snake and so far that worked fine with no injuries to my snake,.
