Just read this whole thread and I was in suspense until I saw that you cut them and all was well.
I'm glad everything went well for you.
It'll be 3 weeks for me using the substrateless method and so far so good. The biggest problem I've had is slight molding going on with a couple eggs and I've just had to remove it with Betadine on a Qtip.
This is my first year breeding so like you I really need to ask lots of questions :)

Glad everything worked out ok for you! congrats! :gj:

I'll just keep adding pics to this thread as they all emerge :D

Edit: the normal with its head popping out actually pipped the other side of the egg, the other normal is the one with all the bubbles, and the other spider is squiggling around a lot, so it shouldn't be long for them all to be out!

congrats on your hatchlings! glad to see everything went well in the end. The first time I used the lighting grid, my eggs did the same thing. the problem wasn't using the light grid, but how well the egg boxs was sealed. I went from using the lid to using glad press n seal. don't use saran wrap. use glad press n seal. never had a problem since.

    Congrats on the babies Heather!:gj:
Glad to see everything worked out for you.
And can't wait to see them all out of the eggs!

Also, thank you for the thread and and all the great members here who have commented on the issues they have had with eggs drying up when using the substrateless method. We had the same issue with our first clutch and lost several babies in the egg because they dried up pretty bad. We had thought it might of been an issue with humidity and air flow, so this thread has confirmed what we thought and helped us fix the issue with our other clutch.
