Some of these are epic. Cotton balls?! WOOOOOW

CHICKENS? they are kind of scary. I recently came across this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEyk63UaBI4

I have had phobias for a lot of things but find myself facing them one at a time. I'm still really weird about brushing my teeth. I gag and choke before I even put it in my mouth (that's what she said)). It's very bizarre and terribly inconvenient. I also have a thing about touching eyeballs or the area under eyelids. If you flip your eyelids inside out around me, there's high likelihood I'm going to punch you in the teeth. I don't like it at all.

I am deathly terrified of spiders. A wolf spider came running out at me one night and I launched onto the couch and squealed for help for 30 minutes. (It disn't go away...just sat there staring at me with its legs raised like a funnel web....nasty thing). Doesn't matter how big it is though, I start shaking and freak out. When I walk by tarantulas at the zoo or something, I cringe and gag and stay a good few feet away. Usually. Some days are better than others. That goes for scorpions as well.

I am terrified of heights, or more appropriately, falling. I love looking down from an airplane or other heights, I just don't enjoy being that high as I am afraid to fall.

The dark freaks me out...probably largely due to my father leaving me alone in the woods at night, standing in 6 inches of water, with nothing but a rifle while he went ahead to scout the way. :O

When at the beach swimming to the sandbar, I hate crossing over that dark deep area where you can see nothing but the darkness and know there must be SOMETHING down there. Silly, since I have made that swim hundreds of times, but it still nags at me when I get to that area and I always speed up there. Lol.

Burglary and house fires also freak me out. I check locks repeatedly before I can go to sleep and have to check all heating elements daily for anything strange.

I love horses, but chickens are a legitimate thing to be concerned about. I was pecked in the eye by a chicken once. Nasty little buggers. They don't scare me, but after growing up with them, I don't like them much. :P

I have a couple fears, but only one I have a hard time managing. I fear "real" ghosts. I am afraid of dying alone, not dying though. And the only one I absolutely have a hard time with is heights/falling. Can't go near windows in tall buildings can't ride ferris wheels, try to find alternate routes when driving to avoid bridges; I'm so afraid of heights I fear for other people being near these things.

I HATE hard boiled eggs too, and obviously egg salad/deviled eggs. Aaron your gf is a smart cookie, theyre disgusting and need to be avoided. I can eat ANY other type of egg, scrambled, fried, poached, whatever, but hard boiled eggs just gross me out. I think its mainly due to the smell but idk for sure.

You know phobias aren't always logical, right?

Everyone laughs at that poor Cotton Ball lady on Maury. Except me. Why?

    I. hate. Cotton. Balls.

I hate touching them. I hate having to open up a new pill bottle to find a cotton ball, because I don't want to touch it. I hate the sound cotton makes when you squeeze and roll it between your fingers. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Even some dish clothes have that same 'dry' feeling that cotton balls have.

It's not so much a 'fear' as it is an 'I can't stand it'. It really is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

Everyone laughes, obviously, haha. I hate picking up dry dish rags sometimes, because some have that same kind of feeling. Like those blue dish clothes when they've been used too many times and get kind of 'frizzy'.

Then again, while we're camping, I'll go and pick up the spider that everyone is screaming about on the picnic table. I'll go and shoo the occasional frog off the porch. Catch a neat bettle. Pick up creepy crawlies. Go and take close-ups of bees as they're hovering around the crab apple tree.

So, we all have our quirks. Some just make less sense than others. I obviously don't scream about cotton balls being near me, but if you asked me to pick up a handful and squeeze them, I'd probably very much dislike that idea :rolleye2:

    2. Im sorry about your insides but i do hate me some horses. Trust me i do it very regularly and very well. Its hard though bc whats up with every other girls favorite animal being a horse?
silly girl -"Omg lets go pet and feed the horses!"
me- "Omg lets not because id rather eat broken glass while going down a garbage disposal feet first..."

Lol, you'd rather eat glass. We have 4 horses and there is not an animal on this earth I love more than horses. But, I will most definitely admit that they are very dangerous animals.

Well that was a little strong of a comment i guess lol. I would touch one, just not on the head. But if i go to rub their butts or back then ill get kicked by them! Its a lose lose situation either way.

I'll tell you what, if some some ungodly reason i ever end up in Iowa, ill hit you up and we can have a psych session with you introducing me to your horsies.:gj:

Another reason i dont like them is bc people always say how smart they are. If they were smart then wouldnt they just throw off the jockeys when they start whipping them? If anyone jumped on my back and whipped me to make me run i would punch them in the face lol...
