I'm sure shops that sell giant love telling people that.
There market share is no where near that big.
Even if it was, that's like saying that a Carola is as nice as a Lexus LS400 because Toyota makes both.

You sure about that?
"By 2007, Giant was the world’s largest bike
manufacturer, turning over 5 million units a
year with products sold at over 12,000 retail
partners across 50 countries. Claiming 80% of the global market share the Giant
brand is synonymous for innovation,
manufacturing expertise and a vision to
inspire adventure in all riders, from casual
to competitive."

Giant manufactures frames for other companies. That how they started. They just made frames for people and then one day they were like " why don't we just make our own bikes ". And they did. It's a fact people.

Schwinn cutting ties and moving production to China was the biggest catalyst for Giant to start producing bikes with the "Giant" name on the downtube...yes Soterious, Giant actually made Schwinn bikes! :O
Smart move by Schwinn as they eventually went bankrupt and Giant thrived...

It's funny you keep making posts as if you're informing me of something new.
You still never answered my question. (about bontrager) You just repeated yourself.

Because it's a dumb question...depends on the particular component and your budget...I don't care about warranty because it's pretty much the same across the board...Are you really Keith Bontrager using an alias??? That would be awesome!!! :P

And that was a reply to interloc, not you...hence the "Originally posted by interloc" part. Interloc by the way made some nice parts...IRD, not the interloc posting here...reading comprehension is not your strong suit...

Slim
This is why I don't hang out on the BikeForum any more. I'd much rather argue about snakes and just ride my bikes.
