Wow....wish I considered modles in the 70's & 80's as old. haha Your telling your age's by this you know. An old car to me has to be from the 50's and back. My favorite is the 55 Chevrolet Nomad. My next would be the 32 Ford Coupe. But to each his own. And on your cat....He is a bigg'n Neutered aint he? That's the reason. I have a Female Russian Blue that top's the scale's at about 22lbs. She is not so much fat, just HEAVY.

BallKingdom - I agree! Fat cats are the greatest! So snuggly :D

Hey Ironhead, Nomads are awesome too! I know I'm a young'un but I don't really consider 80's cars to be THAT old... I'm only on the verge of 18 but 90's cars have never existed to me, let alone anything after that, lol. I wish I'd been born sooner and been around when the car culture really started to appear. I'd like to look at a car and remember seeing it new rather than wonder what it is. I've collected a couple old magazines (oldest being 1953) on when custom painting first started to enter the automotive world, neat stuff! I have yet to learn about cars of the 30's and 40's... haven't looked into them as much as the 50's and up but I do know a little. My dad's first car was a '55(ish...not sure on exact year) Fairlane... how I envy him! Oh man, I could talk about cars for months and months and not get tired of it. All my friends think my car is ancient, but she only tuned nineteen last month! I think I've been born to the wrong generation, I mean my prized posession is a toaster from the '20s...

OK, you all got on the subject of our "older" vehicles. So, here are pics of my truck. She is a 86 s-10. As you can see, she is not too bad as far as physical shape, but what you cant see is the rusted out line thats about 2 inches wide and runs along the length of the bed along the tail gate. Eventually, I am going to put a whole new bed on her, get rid of the tail gate and get a gator net... and repaint all of her. From the factory, this truck was a 5 speed 2.5l engine. Now she has a 2.8l and is automatic. But next spring I am dropping a 4.3l vortech into her and considering making her a standard again. 4x4 ofcourse... I would have a truck no other way cause I like to use it for a toy too, not just transportation and utility reasons. I paid $600.00 cash for the truck..best deal I have ever run up on. The guy was asking $950.00. He put the new rebuilt 2.8l and auto trans in, had 30,000 on it when I bought it this past Feb- OK, I did not actually pay for it, it was my Valentines gift from my hubby. One of the best trucks I have ever owned. The pics were taken not too long ago, after a good cleaning and waxing. ENJOY!!!

My brother is the one in our family with the "car". He picked himself up a very nice looking '57 Belair (IMNSHO the Apex of Chevrolet's development). When I was out in California in October he took me for a ride in it. Very nice.

I have a '74 Datsun 260Z that I may restore one of these days, if I ever get over the "burned out on working on cars" phase that I'm in. For years, we bought older cars that I kept repaired for us. A little over 3 years ago we decided that we needed something more reliable and bought a new 2000 Saturn SL2. A year later I traded in my wore out '89 Mazda B2200 for a 2000 Toyota Tacoma. The only work I've had to do on the Tacoma since buying it was installing the Receiver hitch, changing a flat tire, and replacing the battery a couple of weeks ago. Toyotas are mighty reliable vehicles.
