Because the odds gods make it hard. Because the odds are very hard makes the market on them very good. Its not an animal that is going to be mass produced anytime soon

I wouldn't be surprised if another one popped up soon. It's a pretty sought out animal.

I have a question regarding the whole issue around the amount of black and where the black occurs. Why is it that the cinnamon pieds and black pieds have colour on their heads and almost none on the rest of the body while the only panda we know of has no colour on its head (ignoring the spots that appeard later on)? Does the superform perhaps negate the topee effect? And can we really make any assumptions if there is only one panda (that we have pictures for)?

I have been waiting for a chance to get a regular pied at an affordable price since the 80's. I was going to buy one for $700, but decided to get 1.1 Boa Constrictor Longicauda aneries instead. Why? because now im gonna wait another 15+ years to afford a panda pied :tears:.

I might get 1.1 regular pieds next year :taz:

    But I dream of pandas.

The first pewter pied we hatched had only a spot on top of the head. The other two had fully colored heads even under the chin. The first has also developed random BLACK spots as she has grown. I'll try to post new pics tonight when I get home.

im sure ive said it here before but at this point i think the panda is actually a paradox. most morphs when mixed with pied(cinny/black pastel included) make a 95% white snake. when the underlying color is solid black and you get a paradox then the black spots will be visible. im hoping im wrong but this has been my opinion for about 2 years now and have yet to see any different.
my favorites right now would have to be the few ringer super blacks that have been produced. mostly black with white rings...mmmmmm
