Home brewing is a ton of fun. Pick up either "the joy if home brewing" or "how to brew". They're both great beginner home brewing books, your library may have em.

Is there a dummies guide? I'd probably need that! But I've always wanted to try it to.:)

there actually is! it was the first brewing book i ever read. ive made some pretty good home brews and whole lot more really bad home brews. the key is to not get discouraged. have fun.

ive been brewing professionally for 10 years now and i still homebrew every now and again. some good, some bad. either way its always a good time to brew with a few friends while "sampling" a few! :gj:

LOOK at what I picked up yesterday! Picked up these six packs of Bell's Hopslam for $13.99 each! And nice IPA from Shorts call Hangin' Frank. Haven't tried it yet, but I will this weekend at our 4th annual euchre tournament!

At least this year they seem to have found some real beer enthusiasts. In the past most of the panelists listed their favorite beers as stuff like Miller, Bud light, and for the really exotic...Corona! In the end it doesn't matter, as the panelists pick the winner, not the voting public. I'm already disappointed as Smuttynose (although really good) beat out Two Hearted in the first round...and anytime Flying Dog wins anything, something is not right...aside from Magic Hat, Flying Dog has to be one of the most over-rated breweries ever...

I'm going beer shopping later...I'll have to look for your Iniquity...:gj:

Check out the voting for the Troegenator and Sam Adams double bock matchup...panelists voted for Sam Adams 9-2...public voting went with Troegs, which is infinitely better...1047-169...

Also check out the Smuttynose/Two Hearted results...very similiar outcome...Cecil, don't worry if you guys get knocked out by the panel...they're a bunch of donkeys....:)
