Re: droid (os) vs iphone vs blackberry
Currently using a Motorola Droid and I have to say the android operating system is awesome!!!!!!! I was using a blackberry tour before I purchased my Droid, I loved the blackberry too but I read about how much customization you can do to an android phone and I was sold. Currently, my Droid is rooted and I'm running a red theme with options for overclocking the cpu, these sites www.droid-life.com & www.droidforums.net have tons of info, tutorials and tips........

If your Eris is like the Incredible - there's a status bar at the top. Drag your finger from the top of the screen down in order to open it - then choose "clear" to clear all your notifications. :)

I see them like this they both offer some great features and both have things the other doesn't..when I choose a phone I buy from a company that I have had good sucess with their products.
P.S.. Yes I'm on the list for the iPhone 4 32gb :D

Jeff, it really boils down to whether Sprint has good coverage in your area or not. Very few areas actually have 4G, but you'll still pay for the data access ($10 a month) whether your area has 4G or not.
Droid is what Verizon calls their Android phones, not Sprint - the phone you're referring to is HTC EVO. If it was carried by Verizon, then it would be called a Droid EVO.
You can visit http://www.androidforums.com and read some reviews there - the biggest complaint I've read is battery life - some reporting as little as 4 hours.
Re: droid (os) vs iphone vs blackberry
It's funny that George Lucas actually licensed the Droid name to Verizon as he owns it. The EVO is a pretty amazing phone. I'd love to have that screen size, myself.

The HTC Evo? It is very nice. Very quick response and beautiful design. My roommate has one and I played around with it for a few hours.

Re: droid (os) vs iphone vs blackberry
i had an iphone for a few months and i hated it because of at&t, always had dropped calls, took forever to connect and as soon as my 3g signal went down a bar or too it became incredibly slow!! ive had my moto droid for a couple of months now and i dont know how i could live without it. ever since the incredible showed up on tv commercials and stuff ive been feening for it real bad but since im not eligible for an upgrade it would cost me a lot to buy the phone so i bought open home app for $4.32 and downloaded a free HTC HERO theme and i feel like i got a brand new phone:) TAKE THAT IPHONE!!
