Ok, I could see that. People should be more concerned with lost dogs and cats than snakes... Arg.

I lost a baby corn snake. He turned up a year and a half later, so never give in to the fact the snake is gone for good or dead. The snake is probably no further than 20-30 foot away from you.:snake:

Ya I guess I wont be saying anything about the snake. I'm trying a bunch of different things. I'm really hoping she is in one of mine or my ex's stuff.
I have about 5 days left... I do feel so dumb about it though, I was so anal about their things, but that one time I fall a sleep... that's all it took. :(

crossing fingers hoping you find her before you leave.

Re: I lost my Normal
Hey, don't lose hope, it probably didn't go far at all and is still taking its sweet time hiding. This past winter when I was on vacation and my dad accidently left both tubs open (...he thought it wouldn't matter with such chubby snakes even though I repeatedly told him to make sure he should close them tight) both of my kids escaped. Found one in about 2 weeks in the bathroom on the toilet, and then two months later the other one turned up trying to squeeze itself back into the tub (really thirsty.)
They're smarter than they look.
Sometimes the more frustrated you are, the less you're able to keep a weather eye out. So take a deep breath, and know that sooner or later, if you've done everything you could possibly do, whatever happens will happen.
Good luck!

I would be taking steps to try to insure that the landlord and you were on the same page in so far as what steps to take when she does show up.
I would also make personal contact with the new tenants. Explain the situation to them, assure them that she means no harm and steps to take when she appears (immediate call to your cell phone, etc). Show them a pic too. Hopefully you aren't moving too far away.
Sorry if thus was all mentioned by somebody else in a previous post as I did not read every single one! Best of luck - she will turn up, it's just matter of when.

Dude everybody makes mistakes okay? The important thing is you learn from it. That was an easy one to make.
Don't beat yourself up bro.

Just invite Samuel L Jackson over
The snake is bound to show up and make him go bananas

Re: I lost my Normal
It would be extremely irresponsible to leave & not notify the new tenants or landlord. This snake is your pet & she relies on you to take care of her. She could die in the wall, someone could find her & kill her (remember the story of the snake nailed to a telephone pole?)...anything can happen. What kind of trouble do you think you'll be in if you bring this up to them? You are no longer under a lease there, so technically there's nothing they can do to you..unless your pets have damaged the place &/or pets are prohibited in your lease. Please do the responsible thing by advising the correct parties.
