Jeff is growing and looking amazing.
Looks darker and richer in these pics, but still glows bright yellow in direct light.

Oooh, I like this deeper version- does he go back & forth, or is this coloration here to stay?

His coloration has changed slightly over time. A little less "glowy" and a little richer (if you look at him at 100-200G vs. now). The lighting really dictates how he looks at the moment though more than anything. So far, I haven't seen him really have "light" and "dark" phases the way Behira (Ghost BI) can. She can make her head (at least) tan to almost jet black, and everything in between.
The biggest change over time with the Jeff though is the number of "speckles!" WOW! He's really getting a ton now, especially around the tail area. So cool to see that on an albino/sunglow, some black coming through. His greyish/blue eyes rock too. Got to love the VPI +/T+ albino gene. Of course, I have to give some credit to BoaKings, who bred him. His colors really "pop!" I've seen sun glow VPI+ animals that are not as bright and rich as Jeff is. The motley and jungle genes probably make a difference too.

All of your critters are amazing Dave but Jeff is my favorite. 😍

Re: Jeff Shemesh - VPI T+ Sunglow Motley Jungle het Anery
Jeff is doing well. I am working on handling him a little more often - 2-3X a week vs. 1-2X as he's still a little more "nervous" being handled than either Behira or Feliz (the two other Boas). I am sure he will continue to mellow out as puts on size as well. Still under 800G.
He's hardly defensive, and they all have their own personalities, but I want to see what a little more handling does.
In the meantime, he's looking fantastic. Still glows and keep speckling up.

I think some extra handling is going to pay off- some snakes take longer than others to mellow out. And it doesn't strike me as too much "torture" for you either. :D

Jeff weighs in at 755G now. He's starting to pack on some weight. I've also been handling him a little more. 2-3X a week versus 1-2X a week and he's becoming more relaxed when being handled. I think he will continue to mellow out with size and some gentle handling. Again, hardly defensive, but more squirmy than the other two boas.

Re: Jeff Shemesh - VPI T+ Sunglow Motley Jungle het Anery
Jeff is doing great and empty today (after a monster waste) weighed in about 785G. He's still growing like a weed on small rats. He's going to stay on small rats every two weeks for a bit before I switch him to medium rats.
I have also been handling him more and he's calming a little bit, but I think he's a just a little more "high strung" than the other two boas. That's not saying much. He's still pretty chill.

I'll tell her!
She did great with the feedings! Jeff was her first. By the time she got to Yafe she was an old hat at it having fed Shayna too.

Re: Jeff Shemesh - VPI T+ Sunglow Motley Jungle het Anery
Jeff is almost 900G. He's doing well. Still freaks out a little when first taken out sometimes. Again, not defensive, just gets really grippy and nervous. He's looking amazing though. He shed last week. I'll keep working with him on the handling, but as he grows, he seems more confident.

Thanks Rich. He "glows" a little more in person, but that's hard to catch on the phone. Maybe have to get some outside pics soon.

Jeff is looking great and pushing 900G. He will be on medium rats soon. He's also chilling out a little bit more.
HIs colors are still strong and his head stamp rocks.

Jeff is over 1kg now, dry. I'll be moving him to medium rats for his next feeding.
He's doing really well. His colors continue to be incredible and handling is going better. He's less grippy and more relaxed.

Re: Jeff Shemesh - VPI T+ Sunglow Motley Jungle het Anery
Jeffs shed last night and got his second medium rat tonight (ever - he just had one tonight :)).
He's glowing. He's also chilling out a lot. Pretty cool guy actually. Between more handling (not too much) and putting on some size and getting bigger meals, he's doing great.

Jeff is doing great. Had to clean his tank tonight and got a couple of pics. Sorry for the poor lighting tonight, but he still looks good, just doesn't glow quite as much.
He's digesting his medium rats great. He ate Friday (the 6th) and the pics were taken today (the 10th).

I looked back on this thread last night. Not only has Jeff grown a lot, but his colors are still great. What I really notice though is the speckling. He's gone from almost no speckling to a ton of black speckles today. I know he's already a stunner, but at size, wow is he going to be something.
