Re: Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL
All I know is our dogs don't get a second chance .If people think that jail changes anyone for the better think again. This was a consious Human being who did this for the joy he and others got from watching two animals tear each other apart .While blazing a trail of negative publicity against my beloved breed of choice . Making it even harder for people to see the truth . Remember a A.P.B.T or look alike need only bite someone once then be put to death , but a Hu-man causing the brutal death of many innocent creatures , Training them to kill each other for entertainment gets to go back and make millions drive sports cars and live the good life . Forget jail he should have to work at a rescue cleaning the kennels while helping the people that VOLUNTEER to rehabilitate animals. :taz: Then maybe he will be rehabilitated . In jail he could only feel sorry for himself . He needs to feel sorry for the dogs.

Jerhart, I've never posted on your forum before, but this calls for a posting....I AM an Eagles fan, and when i heard on the radio that Vic signed a 2 yr contact, I almost ran off the road!!!! That pisses me off. I'm sorry, but Vic should not be allowed to come back. If only everyone could have seen what he did to those dogs..... He's a sicko and I have no respect for him....and now he's on my fave team :(
Re: Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL
I would like to see a poll of Eagles fans that approve/disapprove of this move. I have a feeling it would be something around a 90% disapprove.
One of the reasons that he signed with Philly is that they they have one of the top 5 fan bases in the NFL. The idea was that no matter how much bad PR the teams receives with this move, that the fans would still support the team.
So it is interesting to hear the views of Eagles fans.
For the record, I wouldn't want him on my team either. BUT, if they did pick him up, I would still go and cheer for my team. You just would NOT see me sporting his jersey.
Re: Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL
If Vick is the type of person the eagles want to represent them I find it hard to over look him and still support the team:
In his August plea agreement, Vick admitted bankrolling the "Bad Newz Kennels" dogfighting operation on his 15-acre property in rural Surry County in southeastern Virginia.
Vick also admitted providing money for bets on the fights but said he never shared in any winnings.
According to court documents, dogs that failed to show enough fighting spirit or lost matches were executed. Some dogs died by electrocution and others by hanging or drowning.
Co-defendants told prosecutors that Vick assisted in executing the dogs, and that they "executed approximately eight dogs."
After initially denying any involvement, Vick acknowledged participating in killing the dogs in his plea agreement with prosecutors.

Re: Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL
Yep, another Eagles fan here, and I don't agree with it. I thought the announcers were kidding the first time they said it during the game. Besides the legal issues, the guy hasn't played since 2006 I think. Plus I don't see where he fits into the offense. What sign him to run the wildcat once in a blue moon. In addition he can't play until Oct., they payed too much for basically half a season.
Well it looks like the Eagles will also be cutting a QB because they have 3 now and would be stupid to carry 4. I don't get this one, or Dawkins, or hell even letting Stallworth go when they did.
Re: Michael Vick's Possible Return to NFL
Just as long as the Bills dont get him i'm fine.
