ive read this whole thread and i may be wrong but ive seen no one ask for pictures or no reason as to why there cant be pictures.

surely even if you dont have a digi cam you must have a mobile phone with a cam or can borrow one?

    Just my $.02

I had a similar snake, I bought him as a juvenile, so he had some meat on him.
the snake was always hissing at me and striking the cage as I went by. He needs to sit in his cage for at least 2 weeks, do not attempt to feed or hold him.

My snake no longer hisses at me, but he really doesnt like being held either! I have 20 BP'S and he is the only one that has ever bitten me. IT does NOT HURT!
it will happen so fast you wont even know what happened (I actually wasnt watchng him when it happened).

There are is no such thing as a mean snake! Some snakes are just more scared than others. He is only striking at you from fear! this should lessen as he gets older.

Dont push food on him, he will eat when he is hungry.

Dont give up on the little guy!

okay sorry i havent been on for a while but the people at the pet store wanted me to bring him in for a while so they could see why he is acting this way. they told me to take the whole tank in and to just put a towel over him when im moving him so i did so. he has been there for a while and they say that they have not seen a ball act that way and that it is extremely odd. so im just gunna let them keep on observing his behavior to see if they can find something wrong. they had told me if he does not start acting normal soon than they will give me store credit or a refund. for pics i had posted some a while ago either on this thread or my other but it was just with the water bowl and the Tupperware hide and the log hide. its the same as that now but with just two fake rock hides that fits him pretty snug. also aspen instead of cage carpet.

and these people at the store know what they are doing for sure i have nvr heard anything bad about them and ik one of them has a lot of experience with larger boas and a few balls. the snakes at there store all seem health and are friendly but they nvr really got to keep this guy because i bought him right when the breeder dropped him off.

okay well im gunna head off to bed i will post again probably tomorrow maybe the next day to keep you guys updated.

yea i let the pet store keep him for just a few days to see if they could figure anything out and they had no success with thim and told me it would be best to just get a different one but i ended up getting a bearded dragon this time cause that experience with a ball was not a very good one.

so far this guy has been very happy and he is very social and likes to be handled he is pretty young but he still never really gets shy too much unless its just after he eats he likes to sit on his rock than.

I still check in on my old ball python once and a while and he still is not eating but hes not as mean to them at least now.

    Cute beardie :gj:

I am a little bummed that you didn't stick with the BP (they have a special place in my heart :P) but I am also glad you found a great new friend to love and care for. I am no expert on beardie setups but maybe you could go down to their forum and ask what you can do to provide the best for your new pal :D
