My dad or my sister doesn't mind them much, but my mom is the one that doesn't like them at all. :[ It's sad, because I own three and they currently live at a friend's house. I miss them so much and I'm jealous that my friend gets to see them every day. I have tried educating my mom on the matter but she just won't listen. Any helpful tips for helping to persuade her would be much appreciated.

XD my mom is more exited about feeding them then I am most of the time. I don't really like watching them kill the mouse, but she thinks it's really cool.

In looking for a new house to live in (rent) I've found that by mentioning "snakes" right from the go is a bad idea.

Once I talk to the landlord/roommates and they see i'm a normal guy that is very easy to get along with and talk to - I slip in the old "oh yeah i forgot to mention..I have snakes" and usually i just have to explain how easy they are to care for and tame and they won't get out etc....and they are like "OK...as long as you keep them caged..i don't have a problem :)"

I find it easiest just to not mention it around people I don't know..but family is different. Luckily, my family doesn't mind a bit.
