question

im listing to your advice its just a temp. thing. i will build a rack and seperate them. but until then im stuck with i got. ill have to get more wood (mdf) to build a rack for 3 snakes. also i need to build my boa a new cage (6'x3'x3'). im going with yall advice since yall since yall seem to no whats best. i guess i can start today on one cage if i have enough mdf to build one. then i have to get more mdf to build the other two. and recamendations on what size should i build each cage? i was thinking of building 3. 2 of them 2x2x1 and one 4x2x1. any thoughs or ideas.

i am now i just talked to my friend and she said since there different sexs and types it would be best to seperate them but put them together everyonce in a while so they know each other, and diffenently put them to gether in mating season.

You shouldn't use MDF though, If it gets wet it is nasty and it tends to bow. Plus it is so freaking heavy!!!
I would go pick up a few tubs and a few heat pads and dimmers for now. That way you can at least set them up to be by themselves. You could just stack the tubs on top of eachother like a rack (but with no wood base obviously). That should only cost you about $50. Borrow it if you have to. You shouldn't be caring for you snakes when it is convenient for you.

MDF is good for holding humidity plus you can paint it i have enough mdf to build one cage today to seperate my baby blonde pastel. i havent gotten her yet cause of the weather in the north east i really dont want to use tubs i rather make a nice setup with wood. MDF has no pine or ceder in it so its ok for the snakes what i need is recamendations on sizes cause im gonna build the rack on top of my boas cage which is 4'x2'x2'

A rack uses plastic tubs...not just MDF. If you seal the MDF it should be fine. But if they were to pee on that, it would not be pretty. You might think that your blonde pastel is first priority as far as seperate enclosures go, but you should be thinking about your other two BP's. They need their own houses too. If you don't have enought MDF for all of your projects, get the tubs. They are cheap. Your balls will be happy.

your friend doesnt obviously know much about ball pythons or any other snake species.
they dont need to "know each other" they shouldnt ever be put together unless for breeding and even then it should be one male and one female! you do not just toss them all in the same cage the males will fight!

MDF is good for mold and separation!
no pine in it huh i highly doubt that MDF is glued and pressed sawdust!
