I live in Rockford. In theory, I could go down behind the library with a bucket, bait and a fishing pole and sit on the bank. I've seen people out there fishing...dunno if they caught anything.
Hmmm i would do a search and see if you have some decent lakes around you.In my opinion fishing in the river in illinois is a waste of time unless you love chemicals :rolleyes: :P

Yep it is the best time here also :gj:.If only the stupid weather would make up its mind now :mad:.Its nice one day then cold then hot :rolleyes: :rolleyes:.Its no wonder the females have not come up to spawn :tears: :P

yeah i know what you mean... are blue gills are just starting, but i haven't noticed any bass on beds yet.

This lake we caught the bluegills out of supposably has bass also but i have not seen any :O.Not even a passer byer :P
