Damn! That made me cringe, and blood does not usually bother me. But ouch, that definately left a mark! These things are bound to happen though.. I hope that you aren't in much pain!

Kara was impressive beyond imagination! She didn't even raise her voice, much less flinch. Not a squeak or OUCH! or anything beyond 'that hurts' *said in a conversational tone*.

I complain way worse when I get a freaking shot from the doctor.

Yeah...we had to have a little chit-chat along the lines of, "Hon, if the snake is so big that I have to send someone to get you for help, just come over. Don't ask questions. If I need you to get involved, it's big enough!!!!"

At first he tried biting the snake to see if it would let go...after all, it worked on getting a similar-sized retic out of our rafters last year (but that's another story entirely...). Of course, this just caused the snake to bite harder, and I was like, "Ok, that hurts...time to try something else." Fortunately his idea of holding the snake's nose against the floor & applying steady, firm pressure convinced her that letting go would be a good thing.

So! Some entertainment for the girls, and a good reminder not to let my guard down when playing with the big stuff...not to mention a nice little war wound. :)

I suppose I will have to come over and let it bite me on the behind.

or better yet, let the Golden Child bite me....then the question would be: "well, if the snake is worth more than the person, should we just turn off the lights and let nature take it's course?"
