No doubt, the varied expressions over the snake are exactly that, If he had ever gone to SA and seen that he would've painted it, a great photo!
I have had over 15 snakes delivered to work this year and it's quite an attention getter. From the FedEx guy to the staff and students ( I'm a teacher) they all want me to open it immediately, I usually refrain, for the snakes sake if I can take it home soon, at lunchtime, if not I'll open it only to transfer to a temp tub, maybe later if the snake has drank and seems to be OK will I get it out for a few minutes.

Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. Cultural differences can be really frustrating at times.

E.G - "I need this bed finished in 10 minutes" equates to "Make sure you take more than 10 minutes" for these guys sometimes. :rolleye2:

We get by though... I warn them that if they take too long then I'll chop off their fingers one by one and feed the them to Samson

Just wanted to thank you once again Bundu Boy for that amazing picture. If I took that picture in my hometown it would be on the front page of our local newspaper the next day. You may well have a future as a photographer!!!

I brought my BP to one of my high school science classes about 5 years ago. She was a huge hit and had alot of terrified snake people totally converted by the end of her visit :) We also watched a snake video and she sat on the table in front of my friends and did her "periscope" trick and stared at the TV. I think that's what really won everyone over, she was SO CUTE, lol.

I also brought her into my sign/custom paint school. Everybody had been wondering what she looked like for two years so I brought her in during the last week of school when nobody was really painting. She converted a couple more "snake haters" that day too, lol. It was a short day so on my way home I stopped into my work to show a couple people. They were terrified and I didn't stay long enough for anyone to really get to know her, lol.

Also, after we moved to NH last year I was moving her up to the new house and saw my friend outside his work at a bike shop near my house, so I stopped to introduce her there too. A bunch of biker guys came outside thinking we had a puppy or something - boy were they suprised!

We have brought both of our snakes out to the parks on nice days. Most people don't even notice them.. and sometimes we just get strange looks.

My husband is in the military and some of his friends on base wanted to see our female BP. So we took a little trip the barracks to show off our pretty girl. I was shocked to see how many of the big 'tough' guys were actually scared of her. The entire time there she was doing the cutest things and trying to give 'kisses' lol. By the time we were leaving we had actually convinced some of them to touch her.. and some didn't want to let her go.
I am glad we were able to convert some snake haters that day.. our girl is so docile she was the perfect way to do it!!

Re: Have you taken your BP to work or anywhere else?
I used to be able to take my bps for short walks to the mailboxes in my old apartments, but since Hubby and I have moved onto a military base, snakies aren't allowed. (In fact, nothing is allowed other than cats and dogs). So, my 3 friends are now quiet little refugees. :( I do have a completely fenced backyard, and lord knows the weather is warm enough to take them outside for a few minutes... Quick question though... Is there any risk of letting them roam around (closely supervised of course) in the grass, knowing there's ants and spiders and other little bugs down there?

My only concern with letting them loose in the grass is birds! I've only put my girl down to roam around freely a couple times, several of which we were dive-bombed by birds. I don't know if they were nesting or what, but I certainly didn't expect it!
