I really don't understand the bile and vitriol directed towards Paris. I can't believe how many people despise her. Other than being rich and arrogant, what else has she done to deserve such hatred from people? I can see people getting upset at those who actually do personal harm or affect your life somehow, but I just don't see it with Paris.
As far as this whole jail situation, I think it shows the poor state of our justice system just as much as how the wealthy can take advantage of it. It would be interesting to see the punishment statistics of those in L.A. that were arrested for driving with a suspended license. I doubt they received nearly as much time if any at all, but I also don't think many of the people in jail would be considered for house arrest because of a mysterious ailment or given their own private cell.

She has to learn a lesson some way, and not just because she "Paris Hilton" if you keep slapping someone on the wrist's they'll never learn a lesson. To be honest I feel she should have gotten a longer sentence, and be put in with general population. Like I said before this will prevent someone as arrogant as her from killing someone on the road, just because she couldnt get it right the first time.

Shes not in jail for drinking and driving shes in jail for driving with a suspended license. But i do think she should be punished but its sad that people are so thrilled with her misery. Everybody hates her so much but honestly why hate her she is who she is hopefully one day she'll grow up, but maybe she wont. Also im not defending her drinking and driving what so ever, but she did blow a .08 its not like she was trashed she prolly had a drink or two and didn't even realize she was over the limit, not making an excuse for her just saying TONS of everyday people have had a drink or two and drove home thinking it was fine.
Now i don't want people jumping all over me thinking i think she should be treated specially, I think she should do her time like anybody else hopefully learn something from it and move on, but i also think people should stop loving that shes going through a hard time.

correct, but the suspended license came in hand of getting a DUI. I also agree with you about the drinking thing of having a few drinks, but even so it's enough to impair your driving, i'd just hate to see some innocent life get ruined because she had to have a drink or a few and drive. I understand fully what your trying to get at cassandra, and its a shame there are people out there like that who drink and drive WASTED.

I totally agree that its wrong to even have a few drinks and drive, an accident is more likely to happen. Im just saying everyone out there is judging her for it and hating on her when come on now, how many of these people haven't done the same thing. She made a mistake she should pay for it, but people shouldn't be jumping for joy because shes unhappy. It's like people just can't wait to see her go down and thats whats sad.

Yea I understand that, but I think her action towards what happend and her attitude around this whole thing hence refusing to go back only made this worse for herself. I have nothing against Paris, but when she tries to use her money/fame to try and get out of things that bothers me. Now dont even ask me what I think about Lindsay Lohan lol I think much worse of her.

Any celebrities or high profile cases are kept away from the general population, due to the fact that they *are* a target. That's standard practice, so why should that be an issue? Personally, I would be more miserable being left alone for 23 hours a day.

That's just the way I feel about it all, not making that an issue.
