also....if you had a homozygous BEL and homozygous albino trait represented in the same animal...what color would its eyes be?

....a solid white ball with red glowing eyes would be smokin!!!!

...or a solid white snake with white eyes!!! That would be creepy, but I would love it ;)

What does everyone think about the ivory? personally I consider them part of the Leucistic group too but from a completely different line. (What color are the ivories eyes anyway???) I know that ivory crossed with one of the BlueEL group does not produce a white snake, but I gotta wonder what a double homozygous Ivory/Lesser would look like? Would it just be totally white? Or would it have some slight pattern to it? What about crossing it with a fire?

BTW thank you for bringing this thread back.

Ivories have black eyes, but I wouldn't say that they are as solid black as the super fires ... at first I didn't care for them, but over time as I saw how variable they can be, I quickly started strengthening my ivory projects ... as adults, some of them can carry a lot of yellow so I think it's important to get your YB stock from a line know for producing high white adults.

I produced my Ivories last year by breeding yellow bellies together and they have dark ruby red eyes! :) https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...maleivory7.JPG

Thats a Beauty Ed. So the eyes ARE kind of like the fires then? Only not as dark? I know the fires are supposed to have that red pupil, sounds like the Ivories do too? Has anyone crossed Ivories and fires yet? I've actually got my male yellow belly breeding this year, but he's still pretty small. Hopefully I'll get some females out of it and I'll be able to join you in about 3 years..... :D

I think he hatched like 15...
I dont think that the Ivory should be considered a lucy. Lots of diffrent colors pop up in an ivory, but not always in a lucy. Wither way they are all kick butt, and will deffanetly be added to my collection in the future!
