Re: Would a paintball kill a cat?
I have 3 cats all of which are outside cats at my girlfriend's but people in her neighborhood love cats. Our 3 RARELY poke their heads out from her yard

Each BB is 6mm in diameter. And yes, obviously the paintball gun would cause more damage; I acknowledge that. ;)

Just a side discussion, nothing more... none of us is going to go out and shoot a cat after this... at least I'm not.

The fact that this thread has gone on for 6 pages really disturbs me.

There is no ifs ands or buts, comparing bb's or paintball guns or letting dogs loose
    JUST FRIGGIN CALL ANIMAL CONTROL!!!!!

Let me tell you how it will go down if you shoot the cats with anything or let your dog on them ( besides from not being the right thing to do )
You will end up being the one getting the visit from animal control and the one who gets in trouble.

    Just do the right thing.

I own a cat and 8 cats running in my yard and house would drive me over the edge, so I feel for you.

It's funny, people on here will freak out if some burm or retic eats it's owner and the police hit it with a stun gun but will go on for several pages about doing inhumane things to a cat, I just don't get it.
Can someone please explain it to me?

The comparison of airsoft guns against paintball guns was just that: a comparison. We were not discussing which one would hurt a cat more (just that a paintball gun would cause more damage to a target) or that you should use one on a cat.

The topic heading in general is crazy. Not just going after the air gun/paintball thing. That was minor in comparison.

Would a paintball kill a cat ? sound crazy to you ? Does to me .

I have called Animal Control many, many times, but again there is nothing they can or will do. Maybe it is different in other states, I have also spoken with some of the owners of these cats and they know when they see me walking around with my Havahart trap that I am not joking, they just don't seem to care.

That is so sad. I can't understand people who have animals and don't want to take care of them.

Your state has no leash laws?

We do but it doesn't apply to cats.

Well you live in Mass. so you could always dress them up in Yankees uniforms and let the 'Sox fans take care of them.
( just kidding, trying to add a little humor to a bad subject )
