We (my siblings and I; I don't have human kids) were in 4-H, various competetive teams, performed all over the state in a Scottish/Irish dance group, and hung out with other homeschooled kids. I had the highest SAT scores in our entire state that year (granted, it was an impoverished and illiterate state, but still...), and attended an Ivy League college. I say again, homeschooling rocks!

I came to this thread late . . . it was very interesting! Sorta blows a lot of misconceptions about people who keep snakes doesn't it?

Re: what do you do for a living?
wow you guys make me feel great about my job lol
I supervise the lumber and building material department at the local Home Depot. I do all of the lift equipment training there as well. That at least keeps me somewhat entertained. (wow some people are scarey on forklifts!)
I have been job searching as of late myself. Looking for a job with a steady schedule so I can get back to school.
Re: what do you do for a living?
 I'm a kid poo target
I'm reponsible for 16 kids while their parents are off doing something that society actually thinks is valuable! That's right, child caregiver at a daycare! I work in the three year olds room. They keep me laughing, and growling, and running around every which way. I love them. But I hope to go back to school soon to get my degree so that I can go back to daycare and make a living wage... not $10 an hour! WITH my government wage enhancement that my favourite prime minister  has decided to repeal as of April... am I too rich for you, Mister Harper? Nine dollars is better for you?
Is it really good that most childrens' caregivers finish their day at daycare, then go to their second jobs? I'm not bitter.
No matter how little I make though, the kids are totally worth it :)
