Re: Knowing what you now know about MKR, would you purchase from them?
No, I would not, and will not support MKR... They might as well take Walmart's slogan of "Everyday low prices"

Also I'm huge on customer loyalty, their actions this year screwed over their customers last year that bought Lessers, Mojaves, etc.. Supposedly they are trying to get rare snakes to the little guy...but how dare the little guy to want to make something back on his investment, so lets undercut his prices this year so he has to move his animals for bottom dollar to make a return. The only thing low about MKR was how they treat their past customers.

Oh, but you say codoms are "unrare" (Joe I think you mean common, they must not have had grammar lessons in used car salesman school.) and that's what brought down the market prices...but as far as I know those guys charging more than you for codoms are still making their money (because they are loyal to past customers and selling a quality product, so they receive return customers) and if customers aren't willing to pay oh well, it will keep the market from being saturated with "unrare" codoms and keep prices up.

The big breeders I know of all started as little guys...working their way up to where they are through their passion for the animal. These are the types of people I want to support, they aren't pushing their animals in my face.

This sentiment is pretty much the way I feel about the situation. I've heard the sales pitch from MKR and I dislike it, it turns me off from their business to begin with. If I decide I need to go buy a new car, I go research it, see it's reviews, give a few models a test drive, etc. I don't need the salesman to stand there harping about how great it is, or how well it performs to me. I'll go make my own opinion first.

One can argue that the ball market is overinflated to begin, and express other sentiments along those lines. However, having poor customer service is not going to get you anywhere.

Re: Knowing what you now know about MKR, would you purchase from them?
    Ok, here is my reason...

when I buy a snake from someone, all I expect is for it to be healthy and here on time... I really do NOT care if you are supporting me to be a breeder down the road, because to me, it's ME who is getting into the breeding business and I need to learn for myself and not be spoonfed.Once the money is on the other side and the snake is at my rack, that's all I need. Not for the breeder to support me in my future endeavors.

People this is just business. In ANY business, you have to survive and do whatever you can to make money, even make cheesy videos :P

    Just my .02 cents...

I don't think you understand what people are referring to when they say MKR will not support you. They're not talking about the breeder holding your hand and helping your business, they're talking about keeping prices STABLE and not undercutting you when you go to sell your snakes. If you're not concerned about it and you think you got a great deal with your $800 Mojave, maybe you'll change your mind when you go to sell your baby Mojaves and they're only worth $50... But then you can think back and say to yourself "Wow, MKR really gave me a great deal on my $50 snake."
