The heat lamp is probably why. They can suck the humidity out of a tank.

Yeah... is there something I can do to boost it or is this ok as long as the rest of the tank has adequate himidity. I really don't know how to keep humidity in that area. Thanks!!

Just use a heat pad and you're good to go! That way your snake can get belly heat, AND you can have humidity at the right spot!

I have a heatpad there but with the heat pad alone, my temps are fine on the pad but once you move off the pad my heat drops to 80 - 82. Is this ok with the heatpad at 90 - 95? If it is then I would gladly get rid of the light. With the light, my heat off of the pad on the hotside is around 88 - 90.

Get a dimmer and you can control how hot the heat pad can get.

I would get these. They are only 10 bucks at Lowes. Disregard the price on the website.

I have a thermostat on the heat pad now... I don't want it to get above 95 do I? That is the only way I can increase my ambient temps away from the heat pad is by using the light. My gauge is under the light so it is only giving me the humidity directly under there. If I move the gauge away from the light it goes back up to acceptable levels.
