You know as I sit reading this thread and pondering it all I wonder about some folks that use glass enclosures. I'm not saying glass is bad or plastic is bad but I'm thinking about the reasons. Is this person, whoever he is that is so busy slamming appropriate plastic housing, putting his snakes in glass enclosures for the snake's benefit or for his. Display tanks are lovely and can be properly managed for the snake's benefit. However if they are only being used so you can "see your pretty snake" than maybe somewhere I missed that snakes require being stared at for "x" number of hours per day.

As far as mismanaging a single snake or a collection - you can do that with glass or plastic. It's not any worse to "force" a snake to live in plastic than it is in glass, both are captive environments and both can be good or bad. The focus should not be the housing but the condition and wellbeing of the living creatures inside said housing.

Well Joanna - this is certainly reputation points worthy! Since I can't give them to you right now ;) I'll publicly say - bravo!

Geez; I never meant for this to turn into a freakin' arguement on plastic vs. glass!! I actually watched the video; were those boas living longterm in those tiny display boxes!??! (the ones where they couldn't even move.) Now THAT would be hideous. I think that this guy did get in over his head. I was disgusted by the plain fact that the r-maids were just stacked to the ceiling, not even in a rack; no way they had belly heat/UTHs.
Think of all those morphs that were taken; I know they were breeding albinos and pinstripes up there.. sigh. What a damn waste.

You didn't turn it into a plastic arguement..... someone else chose to by insulting people.

Yup, it's a waste, but for every bad person there are a 100 or so good people out there doing good things for the hobby/obsession or whatever term fits you liking.
