I know, it's just way too fast this year! It's also been rather warm this year too- it doesn't feel like mid-December here.

Well, the floor is in, the paint is 95% done, the bathroom vanity is in, and that's the good news.

The bad news is the ceiling tiles are delayed for a month and we need that to finish everything up and install the lights etc.

I am furious for a variety of reasons including the ceiling tile was supposed to be ordered eons ago. I have my basement furniture sitting in a pod on my lawn and this should have been done a while ago.

Anyway, it does look like the reptile area is going to be awesome and I going to configure the tanks in an "L" shape instead of "I I - on opposite walls" and that will give me much more room.

The tanks are near where they will end up, but not pics until everything is where it's supposed to be. Hoping I can post those soon! Also, no more reptiles moving all around except maybe for the ceiling tiles which will take hours, not days.

Progress anyway. :gj: Too bad it's not as fast as expected or promised- that's so frustrating- but sounds like it's going to be awesome.

What's the antitheses of fast? Slow doesn't cut it! It's been 7 months! They have done weeks worth of work.

However, as you said, it's going to be awesome.

Additionally, I fed all the snakes tonight for the first time in a bit. Everyone ate happily. They won't have to be moved soon, if at all again, and certainly not for a little while. So made sure to get a meal in all of them. This process has been rough of them as well. No one seems worse for the wear and we will be back on a regular feeding schedule now.

It was cool feeding with the new tank configuration even though the tanks are closer to each other than they will be and not in their final exact spots. Much more room to maneuver not having the tanks opposite each other.

I agree that 7 mos. is ridiculous, but my saying so won't make it any better or faster- I was just trying to stay positive & supportive & not make you feel worse about it than you already do. ;)

Nice your :snake: all fed tonight, & so far, don't seem as stressed as you obviously are. Hang in there...I'm sure they had their reasons for not being able to complete the work any faster, & I'm in no position to judge anyway.

We will make it through. Unfortunately this isn't even the most frustrating thing we are dealing with right now.

I always appreciate your perspective, Boger. Thank you.

Always feels so much worse when multiple things 'hit the fan' at the same time or nearly so.
