Is that a RBI Large hide? My girl out grew the Mediums around 900 grams i think.. She started to lift them in order to get in so i replaced them. My Albino is big as the Large door now but I'll never us a XL as they jump way up and would take up 16" on each side. There would be nothing left but 1 foot in between so Im going to try and Grind the door bigger & burn it so it isn't sharp.

Yeah, thats a large RBI hide. It's actually too small for Dottie and half the time, part of her is sticking out from under it but she really doesnt care much. I tried giving her larger hides and she wasnt happy with them and would just curl up in the corner. Gave her the large RBI hides back and she was back to wearing them as hats lol.

And yeah, Dottie is as thick as the door of the hides. There is probably an 1/8 of an inch gap if lucky. She's just weird and like i said, loves those hides.

I would just leave them. Worse case, if they are a little warped like most of mine are, the snakes sometimes make their own doors into them by burrowing under the aspen and shoving aspen against the front door thus blocking it off.

Do you find her using the shelf often? I took mine off, but I think I'm going to put it back on.

Thanks. Yeah, after the first year, she started going off food usually around Oct/Nov to Apr/May. This time though, she ate for a while and didnt quit until early January. When she was a tiny 90g baby, she ate like the world was ending. Ate every 4-5 days, then every 7 days. Now, when she eats, she gets a medium rat every week or so until she quits.

And even though she's a BP, i still love her lol. I've had a few offers around $1500 or so since she in unproven but i turned them all down as I've had her since she was a 90g 12 inch worm. She had a rough life at Petsmart. They force fed her because she wouldnt eat because she was kept too cool. Then when i went to go buy her, they had her in the back room in a little tiny cage with a spilled water bowl with a soaking wet floor. She was sooooo head shy. Took about 2-3 years to finally get her not head shy. I've had her about 4.5 years now and she is just a trouble maker. If you leave a cage door open, she will come out of the hide and drop down to the floor to explore lol and now i can touch her face or whatever and she is fine.
