P.s. I used a soldering iron for the holes

Oh, I have an idea. If you make the hole in the Ziploc containers but it's a bit sharp, cover the edges with duct tape. If you're going to the pet store, any of the cave type hides in the reptile section work.

Don't EVER put any kind of tape in your snakes enclosure. :colbert::colbert:

Any tape inside an enclosure becomes tape stuck to a python's head. They're talented that way.

If the edges seem sharp, I just heat it with a grill lighter to sort of melt the edge smoother. Don't breathe the fumes from that burning and wash it well after it's cool. I usually just use plastic cereal bowls or white plastic mixing bowls. Just cut or burn a half circle door and put it in upside down. My current set is all purple Halloween bowls.

    Enough holes??
Placed Loki in his 41 qt tub and he's non stop moving around looking like he wants out. There 2 rows of holes along each long side...and eight on top of lid.. can he breathe?

He can breath just fine, I'm sure. Be careful with how many holes you put in the top though, it'll affect your humidity. More holes- less humidity, less holes-more humidity.

I didn't put as many holes in the top lid as I did alon the sides... I put 4 on each short side of the lid.. IF I did put too many...will I have to get a whole new lid??

No, providing the right amount of holes isn't an exact science, it's all based on your outside/inside temp and humidity. If you put too many, and the humidity is decreasing, you can always cover a few holes with some sort of tape, like electrical. Then, if the humidity increases too much, you can remove some tape and expose the holes until you find the perfect amount that sustains the level of humidity you seek.

Well I think he is just a little stressed with being in a whole new environment. Give him some time to settle down again and offer him more hides to hide in if needed. Clutter up his space.

I find paper towels to be flimsy underneath that muscle. Alduin is 357g and even crumples up a bit of his newspaper when I freshly lay some down. If you are concerned about him crumpling and messing up the paper towels, maybe try something sturdier? Like newspaper. I've seen videos where a breeder will put down some newspaper just to find it crumpled in a corner and their bp just laying directly on the tub floor. Pretty sure it doesn't harm the snake so long as your temps are dialed in correctly.

Don't worry. You seem to be doing fine. I hope this helps!
