Wish I had that kinda luck. I've tried both white & black sheets of melamine from Home Depot and Menards. Mine bubbled from condensation sitting on it above the open tub....mostly after one of my snakes dropped a huge steamer. I do check/clean tubs twice a day & I know it didn't get in under the melamine because the bubbling would be in the shape of the top of the tub. I have about a 1/8" gap around the top and about 10 holes drilled in the tubs. I could see melamine lasting way longer on a hatchling rack though. Either way I still recommend the adhesive contact paper. for a few bucks it gives a 100% waterproof surface. The water just beads up on it and never touches the melamine.

I had 2 melamine racks and I would never use them again. They are way to heavy and the humidity kills them. I love the xpvc and shelving unit racks, they are light weight and don't have to worry about humidity killing them
