Im moving Plop from 3 pinkies to a single (rat) hopper at feeding now that he has some girth, i dont want to support my local chain stores, but no one seems to have the right size, what is a good web option for buying rats where it is not required to buy in bulk?
I use the big cheese rodent factory for Matilda and Phred. They have really high quality rodents and the smaller ones come in 20-25 count bags.

Re: Plop: The unexpected rescue... (lots of pics)
So sorry for the lack of comments and updates y'all! It was my birthday(mar 2nd) , and i was spending a couple days with family. :)
Plop is doing great, ate like a champ, though he did eat butt first... For BOTH mice... I couldnt find rat hoppers locally, so i ended up getting mice that were juuuuust about to open their eyes, so they were bigger than the rat pinkies, but not big enough to only feed one. Got him two and he ate them both butt first. Wut? He even struck at the head, and then moved down the body to purposly eat them butt first. lol. Go WITH the grain Plop, its easier to swallow... I got some amusing pics... Do you guys want to see them?

Okay, so these are funny. XD I snapped them while he was eating, the first three are the first mouse, and the last two are the second mouse.

Two heads are better than one?

And then this is the second mouse... That he SLOBBERED ALL OVER BEFORE EATING... Goof.
Pre slobber:

Anyway, enjoy new pictures! These were from friday. :)

Thanks! I'm really pleased about it myself. I was so worried he would not be a good eater or anything, but as you can see, he loves his groceries. :)

I'm not sure I have ever seen a snake slobber to that extent! super funny. I feed FT, so my feeders are pretty damp before they even go into the tub. I wonder if mine have ever drooled like that and I just couldn't tell...

Hahaha I love those pictures! One of my snakes has slobbed all over a rat before lol such silly snakes we have. I've only had one eat butt first but he only did it once, well so far. Thanks so much for sharing :) Plop is doing so well, I'm glad he's a good eater!

congrats on the snake =) he has real nice coloring.
There is a pet store near my school who has a few snakes with retained shed.
It so disgusting to see animals being treated like that.
If i worked at a pet store and I saw them like that and I didnt know how to take care of the specific snake, I would go home and get on the internet so I can fix the problem. This specific one near my school the lady said O hes fine there all like that... smh
Anywhose pet stored that do this need to realize that if you have one snake in the bunch that looks like that, people arent going to want to look at the whole of them especially if they are in an enclosure together.
But very nice snake you have there take care of him well =)

Yeah I'll be feeding live until the rats can fight back, and then I'll start killing them myself right before feeding. I don't like the idea of having a bunch of frozen rodents for just one snake. Lol

Yeah, after saving him my pet store stepped up their game and the BPs that are left are looking great! :) not fully back up, but they look much better than they did, and all of them are shedding.
So I cleaned out my Crested gecko tank, and redid the substrate, and I had extra, so I put it into Plop's tub. He loves it! I even decorated :3
What do y'all think?

And if course, no more than fifteen minutes later I look over to check on him, and he's pooping... :/ really? You couldn't have done that when I had you on papertowel? Lol
