Mike don't get me wrong, I still think your Pats will be a very good team and still the top of the AFC East,
but I think letting Welker go for Amandola was a big mistake on Bill's part.

Julian Eddleman will step into the welker role even more then Amandola. Julian is just as good if not better than welker.

Vareen made a big impression on me last year. Beginning of the season I was like "who the F is this dude?" He made a lot of key plays when he was out there. It's like 2 years ago when Ben Jarvis green Ellis was let go. I was like WTF?!?! How can you let a guy go that literally has NEVER fumbled in his pro career. Last year the pats running game was awesome. Granted they are a pass oriented offence, but the RBs stepped up when they needed too. Edelman I've thought the last few years should get more field time. I hope he is the new welker. Welker was awesome but he lacked straight line speed. He was very good at changing directions, but would easily get caught in an open field. Edelman is taller, just as agile and faster and cheaper. It should work in the pats favor.

And mike I agree 100%. Welker needed to make that catch for the Super Bowl. 200 catches in 2 seasons means squat if you can't make 1 when it counts. Now if we can only keep Gronk healthy at Super Bowl time we will be unstoppable.

I think edelman is a free agent right now so we should probably re sign him...

Danny amendola is wes welker, just 4 years younger. I can live with it if he misses a couple games bc of an injury but catches the game winning catch in the SB. Welker had a knee injury too, did everyone forget about that too? After that acl injury he wasn't the same imo. They even both went to TT, they're pretty much the same player....
