I got a friend that keeps 4 bp's in a 75 gallon with a 100w bulb as the only heat source. It's also 2 males and 2 females. Humidity and temps suck. It's pretty sad. The funny thing is he puts me down all the time for keeping my snakes in racks saying it's sad how they don't have enough room.

I will state it again, all the insight is wonderful and appreciate all you guys taking the time out to a simple question that more or less turned into cyber reptile warfare lol. I have not felt pressured to do either or by any of you guys and have concluded that's its best for the animal to house them seperately and I fully understand all the reasons why. THANKS!

OP BPs like to be lone stars. They don't really want company.

I hope my post didn't imply that I would treat them differently based on their price, my animals all receive the exact same care regardless of what I paid for them. I simply meant that some of my snakes cost me a fair bit of cash, and from a financial standpoint I'm loathe to expose that kind of investment to any more risk than absolutely necessary.

No it didn't. I was talking in general.

This is one topic that drives me nuts. I don't get people thinking that co-habitation requires and tricks or years of experience. It's not rocket science. A little know how, a good bit of common sense, and knowing your animals, and you'll be fine.

I personally don't house snakes together, but have done it. As far as not knowing which animal is sick, or if one is sick, they both get sick, or not knowing which one defecated or regurged, it simply comes down to paying attention to your animals. And, if one snake gets sick within your collection kept in racks, I can just as easily spread to the others.

Not for first time snake owners, absolutely, as it can be a bit overwhelming....but it doesn't exactly require a special skill set either.

I picked up two rescues that had been housed in the same enclosure for about 8 years. No problems other than the fact that they didn't have but one hide, so they would both get in it and it would basically just sit on top of them. I have them separate now so they both have ample space, heat, and hides. I wouldn't recommend it by any means but there are a few instances where it may work. Still not worth the risk IMO.
