butter or lesser??????

Thanks for all the feedback....one thing needs to be made clear I'm just asking questions, I'm not saying my breeder is wrong or that you or anyone eles is wrong or right for that matter........I'm not making any founded claims that lesser and butters are different or the same, just ideas, go back a read all my threads, I'm the first one to say I don't know or claim to know, I was told that this is what a butter looks like and this is what a lessers looks like so when I bought my lesser and it looked like what I was told butters looks like I, like anyone else started to ask question.....just cause you ask question doesn't mean you don't trust, to me it shows a passion in backing that trust up. This topic wasn't originated by me, and this won't be the last time some poor guy like me who's had snakes for 20 plus years but is just now getting into the genes, and morphs has a question on what makes the butter different from the lesser! OR if they differ at all.

my quesions to start are plain...Name that snake, and the feedback I took away from that question was that no one could say for sure. (trust having nothing to do with it) So then the next question to me was why? If one is sold as one and the other is sold as another but they look the same. I'm guessing a lemon pastel looks different then a regular pastel and if I asked a true expert they would be able to tell me. If not what the hell is the reason to class them different?..LOL So the last thing then spilts into two.....If they are the same then breed for better expressions of the triats within the butters and lessers, if not the same try to go back(point well taken roseyreps to start with the original line) and prove them back to the true traits of both....AGAIN NOT CLAMING ANYTHING......! Just wanting to do a cool project based on my own ignorace and confusion, to prove one theroy or the other. So where I maybe wrong about where to start to prove my theroy (thanks again Roseyreps and Satomi325)...just stepping out there!

I personally think they are the same. There is no difference in any of the combos.
Some people say calico/sugar are the same. To me they look very different. Mystics and phantoms are similar, but some combos look different.
With lessers/butters, I see no difference at all.
