Snake addiction

I started like most, with one normal male that we got through the classifieds. Then a few months later the wide and I went to a reptile expo! Holy brain explosion! So many morphs! We bought a female normal that day. Then I wanted a spider. Found a male online. Then I needed a pastel to make bees. And so on and so forth. Now we have 12 balls and a boa! Love this hobby. Also this site has taught me so much and now I love helping the noobs with their issues with the info I have learned from you guys. So thanks everybody! Hope to see y'all around for years to come!

For me it all started on faithful day in a petsmart. I had been asking the wife to finally let me get a snake and she finally caved. That little lady was in our living room with the perfect tank set up but wouldn't eat for me. I went online and typed in ball python not eating and guess what came up? Yup you got it BP.net and I made the horrible mistake of clicking on the pictures section. So needless to say within 2 months I was hard at work building a melamine rack and had my first order for 6 females. 20 something BP's later I decided to get a boa again and ended up with a Hog island then a cay caulker then a rainbow. A little after that I went to an expo and picked up a carpet python. Now my wife thinks back to that trip to petsmart and wonders what would of been if she said no again lol.

It started with my normal. Then a snow corn snake. & now a Salmon Arabesque boa. Now I want more and more, sadly, being 13 and in a house with parents and no job = no money. No more snakes for now ;(

My addiction relapsed when my son wanted a Turtle for his birthday. Well he did his research then decided a snake would be better suited to him. He got a great looking normal male for his birthday last July and well now we have 4 a rat colonk started and Incubator built :) Breeding plans and a hatchling rack being built. Best part is the wife was soooo against more snakes and she is the one who wants to breed her male to my female :rofl::rofl: I see some Black Pewter Pieds in our future :D

I had my first boa constrictor for 19 years (only snake). Then, when I got into BPs, I had over 19 in the first two years!
