Worst for pain for me was across the back to the shoulders. Coloring was really deep and solid and hurt bad when they were filling in the color over my spine. Rest wasn't bad. Might have been that I sat for over 3 hours while they finished it.

For bleeding, worst was inside of my upper arm but that didn't hurt much at all. Like a tack being dragged across the skin.

As others have said though, a lot will depend on the artist and how you cope with pain.

Good luck, and you know we need pictures when it's done. ;)

I would do what chris said then with the bikini top. Or, if you wearing a bra or bikini top, leave it undone and just hold it in place with lots of boob tape. Idk if thats the proper name for the stuff but its how all the girls at my prom were able to wear so little but still keep the goods covered up lmao.
Also is your husband going with you? If you have him there with you then itll make you more comfortable.

When it comes down to it though its really not that big of a deal... The guy has probably done tattoos all over peoples bodies. He's mature, youre mature, he knows youre married, he's not gunna be checking you out.

Well he planned on going but he just got put in jail last night for killing a rabbit with a bb gun....yepp....wow...a freaking rabbit because it was limping around with a tumor on its leg, and a police car just happened to be driving by.

I'll keep my opinion to myself here, you already know im not his #1 fan ;)

Have a friend go with you then if you want. Unless you would be uncomfortable like that in front of them too...

I have 24+ tattoos on my body all of which can't be seen while I'm in my uniform since the Marine Corps has gotten more strict with the tattoo policy. But the worst spot I had in my opinion was my first tattoo and that was "Sacrifice" across my stomach. And that mainly hurt when the artist was doing the left side of my stomach. Everyone after that hasn't really been to bad. I have both sides, chest, stomach, below my waist line, collar, shoulder blades, lower back, pretty much my entire upper body. I have script, poems I've written, huge pictures etc. It all depends on your pain tolerance really. Some people get sore after, I did for only a few of mine, and they itched for a little bit nothing major. I also have a tattoo kinda like the one you're trying to get it is a huge rose (without stem) with falling petals with part of a poem I wrote encircling it on my right shoulder blade which says "If I were to spread wings and fly to love, then my wings would be made of these falling petals." And I barely felt them working on it. Actually I'm pretty sure I was txting my friends through it lol. Good luck and post some pics when its finish.

I think, as a civilian not as a soldier, that if you guys are willing to die for my freedom i could care less how many tattoos you have or what you look like. I disagree with them having a tattoo policy like that.:salute:

    sorry thats off topic lol

A husband and a boyfriend? Alrighty then... One or both of them must be very understanding guys...

Me thinks someone tends to stretch the truth a bit...

As for your tattoo, get what you want, where you want, but as I tell everyone, think on the idea for a full year. If you still want it as badly after a full year of waiting, then go for it. Tattoos are permanent, not something you can change your mind about a couple months down the road. And no offense Lacey, but your previous posts have demonstrated commitment isn't your strong suit seeing how your animals have come and gone. In the end I know you'll do whatever you want to do regardless of what anyone else says, so good luck and I hope you choose wisely...

Neither your husband nor your boyfriend are going lol? I feel it would be rather awkward if both of them showed up...

    Good luck either way:gj:
