Your original predictions are taking a beating right now. Tampa? Coyotes? Kings? Not all of the series are over but I think you may have been a bit off picking the underdogs. The only upset I really picked was for the Sabres to beat the Flyers.

Def a tough loss last night and as for my predictions I must have been half asleep when I started this thread. Back to the fly guys, one word CONSISTENCY, it's killing us. That should have been a win if you minus the two goals that boosh let in from wacky angles. Now we have juggled 3 goalies so far in 5 games which is not good at all. The goalies and our powerplay. I'm not worried at all about this team it's just i didn't think it would go to game 7.

Yeah, the Sabers are giving the Flyers a beating. I'm a little upset that they lost in OT, and not having Carter or Pronger doesn't help. But they've been without key players before and did fine. They just need to step it up a little bit more. I'll say this series will go all 7 games. If the Flyers get knocked out by Buffalo, I'll be a little upset.

The only thing that got hurt was the equipment rack after Boucher threw his hissy fit. I'm old enough to remember the glory days of the REAL Broadstreet Bullies. The left side of Dave Schultz's scrotum is tougher than the entire 2011 Flyers lineup.

I know Seru/Siroux is hurting right now, and I like him, so I will stop there.

Hmmmm that's a little harsh..... As for "TOUGHER" the game has changed so drastically that if the BULLIES were playing today half of them would be suspended and the other half would be playing shorthanded because of all the frequent penalty in today's game. Don't worry my friend Flyers will win this. As for my man SERU he knows too not to worry, although we didnt expect to go 7 games in round 1 we will be fine. Think positive we won't get to rest for round 2 so our legs won't be weak.

No - I clearly remember the Hammer. All of these dudes with mullets and pretty faces aren't The Hammer. Most guys in today's NHL would pee down their legs if they ever had to drop gloves with Schultz.

As for the Flyers - yeah, Boucher looked like crap and Leighton looked fine until he gave up that huge rebound. Then again, Ennis was untouched when he slammed it home.

As I have hinted to Seru/Siroux, the Flyers have a lot of bad karma working against them. The gods of Hockey were not pleased with the whiny mama's boy that was Lindros, and the gods of Hockey have long memories.

I clearly remember both of those hits. Lindros was caught both times doing what he shouldn't have done, had his head down. But to high five after a hit like that is messed up. After a while even I started calling Lindros captain concussion.

Well if you remember, Ol' Mama's Boy Lindros had quite the habit of throwing down with no names and people that were notorious for not being able to fight.

Yes, he threw down with Stevens a few times, but Stevens was not a fighter.

At 6'4" and 230 lbs, with a penchant for throwing dirty hits, and a whiny off-ice attitude of entitlement, Lindros was fairly well disliked by other hockey players and fans alike.

Both the Kasparaitis and Stevens hits were clean, as opposed to a lot of the hits the Mama's Boy threw. In his career in the NHL, Eric the Puss decided to go toe to toe with only one real punch out artist - McSorley. Even an aging McSorley was able to slap him about.

So when you see the smirks on the faces of other NHL players after Lindros would get clobbered, it's because he was a jack-ass off the ice and a bully on it.

Personally, I could never understand why he couldn't get it through his thick skull to keep his head up. I played hockey all the way through high school and then adult league for several years. One of the first things they tell you in Ice Mites is to keep your damn head up.

I agree, both hits were clean as they could be, and Lindros had that "better than you" attitude. I was actually happy when they got rid of him.

And yeah, the first fundamental I learned was keep your head up. By the time Stevens hit him, he had 6 concussions. The so called "special mouth guard" didn't help. If the Flyers never made the trade for him and kept Forseberg, just think what they could have done.

I always considered Lindros a waste of talent. If he had ditched the attitude and put in the effort of, for example, a LeClair, he could have been a monster.

LeClair, Dejarden, Zubrus, any of those. I think making him captain so young so fast went straight to his head.
