Re: How to feed "Live" prey
Thanks for the info "Quiet Tempest" - I appreciate the help. I've had people on this site and now a total stranger at a petstore mention the "tuna fish" trick - I am thinking of trying this at the next feeding - just scenting her f/t prey with a hint of tuna - I don't think it can hurt anything and hopefully she falls for it and eats.
As a side note - she is housed in the same room as two males.
Re: How to feed "Live" prey
Well......I tried the tuna fish scenting trick and failed miserably - she simply wouldn't fall for it so I am back to square one.
I guess I will just continue to offer her prey each Wednesday night like I always have and hope she starts to eat soon.
Of my four snakes - she is the only one not eating!!!!
Re: How to feed "Live" prey
Lol dont worry, I still have one male that is not eating. About 2 months now. He went off-feed, then back on, and then Back off-feed.
What did you do with the Live rat?
Re: How to feed "Live" prey
I asked the pet store if I could bring it back if my snake didn't eat it and they were fine with that - thank god.
She has been off for 5 months now so hopefully she will get back on feed soon.
The breeder I got her from 2 years ago offered to take her and get her eating again but I hate to move her to a tub at his place and then back to her cage/enclosure - that seems to me like it would just cause more stress on her.
