Re: How Often Do You Handle Your Snakes?
Ive had mine for going on two weeks now, its two years old. Ive gotten it out once a day for about fifteen minutes, sometimes twice but not everyday. I just wanted to it to get used to me and me get used to it. So far its been a great experience and Ive learned alot in the very short time Ive joined this forum. I know now to watch for the bulge towards the tail to lower the chance of being peeed on again. Learned I need to get a thermostat or rheastat for the UTH. The best teacher is experience and everyone on here seems to have alot of that with these snakes. Right now I have him in a glass enclosure. I like it because it allows me to enjoy having the snake around and being able to watch him when he's out wondering around at night, which now I know he is actually hunting, something else I learned from one of you. I have noticed a couple of different opinions on enclosures, plasic containers glass tank. As long as the snakes needs and conditions are being met, does it really matter between the two? Correct if I'm wrong ( i usually am) but it sounds like personal preference
