There are just too many "ifs" involved to make any solid statement.

That's why i do what i know. I know when kept separate it's easier to notice illnesses, clean, as well as feed (for those of us who wish not to disturb the snake during feeding process).

Until anyone can show me how the snake (not us) gains an advantage over having a cage partner, separate is how I feel it should be done. Of course, I'm just as stubborn as the rest of you, and refuse to do it differently :P.

There is nothing wrong with NOT keeping two snakes together.

We're all clear on that - correct?

But you also agree that certain circumstances must be achieved in order to successfully keep two ball pythons together, right?

There seems to be alot of opions here, so heres mine. I have had to hatchlings
together since April of 07. I have had bp's since I was 16. Now, what I'm going to say is it can be done. My snakes go to the vet once a year, so there healthy. When it comes time to feed I've never had any problem's there both over 1500 gr and growing. I have never seen any signs of stress. Once again very healthy snakes. They are both females. Now would I house 2.1 never. I truely think that's a bad idea, but if this person thinks they can house them in the manner he/she wants so be it. Imo it can be done. My encloser was set up to house to snakes and I dont think any harm was done by doing so, for they are healthy and fat. I can't say that perhaps maybe they did not like being housed together but, I feel if there was an issue of being housed together then maybe they wouldn't be as healthy because, they would have been so stressed out from the feeding and the dominance issue's from being housed together. They are in seperate encloser's now.

I wouldn't house snakes in the same enclosure.

Reason: Less chance of me getting bitten if only one snake per enclosure. Also, I can keep track of their health better (i.e. tracking defication, urination, etc).

    Hope this helps

well I have been reading this for a few days and was not going to post anything on here but.....

Ok here goes....first of all let me start with saying I don't know anything....I have been doing this for all of 2 1/2 minutes. Ok so maybe a minute or three longer than that.

From all of my research...can you house more than one together....sure! You can also go have unprotected sex and hope not to get a disease too! Just me!!

I am a total libra so I do the pro's and con's on everything and to me the con's seem to outweigh the pro's. Just like the above analogy! Also it would kill me to see my babies fighting like in the video on the other page.

I also think there are some very passionate arguements on here. I think we all need to remember that this is just opinions...you have yours I have mine.
