Re: Most Recent Snake Picture!
Closing in on a kilo and still so bright and colorful :D She's so fun to handle now that she's really putting some size on

The smallest one's tail looks rather full- I hope it was a short photo session? ;)

Since she started eating on her own, she's packing on weight and constantly looking more sausage than snake. I'm hoping she grows out of this phase and starts putting on more length or something xD
If not I might really have to start monitoring and cutting back on what she's taking in.
I thought her color looked a little hazy. Yes, with any luck, maybe she'll "gift wrap" her output. :D

I know it has been awhile. However, I did want to pop in and say hello to everyone. Picture of Medusa for attention!

Yes, I believe they (MBKs) all do- as they have so much black pigment that it's even visible in their thin layers of shed skin. Rattlesnake sheds also show pigment (you can see their patterns) but their shed skin is much thicker, & with a lot more texture- not like colubrid sheds, which are very thin & fragile, like tissue paper.

The first two are actually getting bigger ones (going from 48x24x15s to 60x24x24s).
...It's just a matter of when because they're Animal Plastics PVCs. :crying:

What's the lead times nowadays with Animal Plastics?

Allegedly they're improved and my PVCs should arrive this month (put the order in back in Jan), which would be a better turnaround than the last time I got a PVC from them where it took 7 months, but until they actually arrive at my door I'm remaining skeptical about their claim of better lead times.

I love AP. But I am considering trying Apex, where I've read all things about, and lead times seem to be around a month. But I've never seen them in person. All reviews and pics and videos I see online are all positive... except for 1 complaint of I think the vent holes being in the front?

I mean that snake's not orangish. It's orange. That snake would look orange next to an orange.
