Really liking iherp!! It's very fast, has an option to batch feed. I group all my breeder females together and can chart feeding all 30 or so with one click of the mouse. Same with my other groups.

I just started using iHerp, previously using a spreadsheet. I like it but probably am overlooking some features. I really wanted to use Degei but even after following the instructions for Vista to a T I can't get it to work.Maybe when I upgrade to Windows 7...

I write info down on paper while feeding, cleaning etc, then I go enter it into iHerp when I get a moment.

A iphone app would rock. but i t hink would be pretty hard to track so many damn snakes on such a small screen

Although with its ability to scan barcodes someone could make it similair to degei? hmmm

It allows you to go in and make custom lists to choose from in feedings, sheds, etc. so that you can customize it for your personal preferences and/or collection of reptiles. Lets you keep accurate records in your own style, but with a basic structure. Also allows you to print tags with a barcode.

They really want and appreciate your input as well guys! If there's something you want that isn't there, let them know and it just might wind up in the next update. And of course, you can always download the free demo and try it out to see if it's what you're looking for.

I see many of you enjoyed vyper, however im sure lots of you are disappointed that it was sold off and now you don't get all those free updates for life, Don't worry because a new software is coming very soon to take over where vyper left off, in just a few short weeks we will need several beta testers for the new software and lots of support, comments, and your great ideas and suggestions.

if you wanna be a tester for this amazing new software then send a email to jcpythons@hotmail.ca and say you be a beta tester. we will then issue you a free copy to selected testers.

Share with us what you would like to see in a software for your herp record tracking (snakes, lizards or amphibians) even if you don't think its possible then try us! just don't expect it to scratch your backside lol.

    Cheers!

I have a simple excel document template that I open and save as each month as I go. It's pretty basic: cleaning, food, shed, weight, and notes. But, I back that up on my HDD and a flash drive.

From what I understand, Aaron from iherp has everything backed up completely...it's virtually impossible to lose our information even if the server crashes. I'm not a techy person, so I can't give you any other details.
