I would disagree for a small part.

There are some who seek for the sake of seeking not for the need of finding.

My Son tells me that they have been discussing in one of his classes the fact that there is a bill being drafted now to make smoking in your car illegal if there are minor children in there with you. What next? Will they make it illegal to smoke in your own home if there are children present?
It's already illegal in Ohio to smoke in your car if there's a minor child present. It's common sense to me, but I've met a lot of people from Ohio......

Why should your child have to suffer because you want to kill yourself? As far as I'm concerned if you smoke in your car, or in your house when you have minor children you need to reprioritize. Seriously? Not having to go outside to smoke is more important than your child's health?

Those of you that do these things are thinking "This person has never smoked, or doesn't have kids." I've smoked on and off for 11 years. For 7 of those years I've had a child and I have never smoked in my house or my car for this reason. I also quit for the last time in November. It's just not worth it anymore.

On that point, we can agree. But, I still wonder if the wish for discovery makes them seek in the first place?

It may be so for some. Yet for others it may be the seeking itself.

Again it gets back to words which leads to definitions and then you find out things are more alike than disparate until one tiny thing that means much to both sides and yet is not the same to both sides, stands there, innocently existing.

That is yet another facet of what we are bouncing around.

    This is an interesting statement.

I'm not singling you out, just using your words to express a sentiment that is often seen when speaking/writing of this subject.

The need of the.... whathaveyou (drug, cigarette, alcohol, etc.) non-user, to appologize to the....whathaveyou(drug, cigarette, alcohol, etc.) user.

Does it make you wonder why you feel this way? You being anyone reading this, not anyone person in particular.

I've never smoked anything in my 37 years of wandering this planet. What happens to people in house fires when they breath in smoke? THEY DIE.
Now I don't mind if people smoke around me I just move a little bit farter away. Everyone I know that smokes are very considerate and will ask first or stand somewhere where the smoke wont be bothersome. I grew up in a family where everyone smoked but me. My mom, dad, sister, brother all smoked.
cigarettes, cigars, pips, weed you name it they smoked it. But I stayed away because it thought it was just plane gross.

well... i definitely know what you mean; in this particular situation for me, i read my statement, then thought 'wow, that sounds kind of negative...' and added the last bit.
