    What's wrong with putting it all over it? This would prevent it from getting tore up from the tubs sliding over it. I've heard people say that if you cover it with tape no heat will be able to escape and this is a hazard. Makes no sense to me. Also I don't think that anyone specified that you should use aluminum tape found at home depot, lowes, etc.
