Re: Best place in the world to live
Check out remote northern Cali (couple hundred miles above San Francisco), Oregon, San Juan Islands (off mainland Washington) and Vancouver, BC.
Great places to live and grow!!

That is a beauty shot though, but if there was snow on the trees that would be even better!

Eskimo is an Indian?? or Inuit. They have brown skin. It's probably from the frost bite but it still looks nice and tan!

Eskimo and Native American are both tan, but we're different races. Just like Mexican and Latina are different. Or Dominican and Cuban.
LOL, I'm not all up on the hispanic differences, so sorry if I made a mistake.
Anyways, it's my understanding that my tribe lived in what is now Yosemite National Park, and parts of central California. So bring on the sunshine!!!

Tuscon is definitely prettier then Phoenix, I have too many in-laws living there though. :O :P I for one am not a fan of Phoenix. This pretty much sums it up for me. It was nice for a couple of years, but before long... ew. I look forward to getting out of here!
My little family's current dream is to move to Portland Oregon. Stuff keeps coming up though, and it keeps looking longer and longer in coming. But we MISS rain. Rain, mountains and ocean both in driving distance, GREENness, all around pretty with lots of artsy communities and the like... Mmm, Portland...
Re: Best place in the world to live
Rain is over rated! Wait till you see the forecast of 80 and thank the heavens, take a shower, and leave for the day to walk outside and get drenched with that muggy air that perpetuates the "green" land and makes you sweat buckets. Give me desert any day!
Re: Best place in the world to live
Ireland - either North or South - I have lived in both.
I have also lived in the US - Nebraska (Omaha), Arizona (Tempe) and Colorado (Denver).
While Ireland will always be home if I was picking somewhere that I have experienced it would definitely be Denver - waking up to see the rockies every day was unreal and being a biker (motorcycle) heading into the rockies on Sunday mornings during summer was to die for!!
I have noticed people taking about cost and saw gas in California at $3.17 - try about $9 a gallon in N Ireland :(

Connie, what nation?
I have to put in a plug for both NC where I was raised - you have mountains in the west, ocean in the east and if you live in the middle of the state (the Triad - Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point area) you are just hours away from both.
I currently live in metro Atlanta - the winters, except for a few shockingly cold days, is mild and the summers aren't all that bad (trying to forget the 100+ degree days this summer) either. And I personally like being near a big city - there's always SOMETHING to do. We're 2 hours from Chattanooga, 2 hours from Birmingham, 5 hours from Savannah and 8 hours from DAYTONA!!!!!!

Well, I will be thoroughly surprised if you've ever heard of them.
The Ione band of Miwoks. I can trace my lineage back quite a ways, but unfortunately, registration for my tribe was stopped sometime in the 60's, so I am not officially a part of my tribe. That sucks.:(
