Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
All I can say is WOW, is this dude for real?
I had a breeder (2 hours away from me) transport some BP"s from Daytona(for free) and I brought him a gift and a million thank you's.
And this is how you repay a favor?

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
I've sent numerous email's to NERD, always got quick and polite response's, Kara's always been nice to me, and I've yet to buy a reptile from them. On a side note it seems to me like she did a HUGE favor for you, by transporting your snake and having it healthy for you, and then you rip her apart in a thread because you asked a personal question about how thier sales where going?
Accept her apology, apologize yourself and move on.

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
Kara does a favor for you, a person she has never even met bofore and you return the favor by coming here trashing her integrity and business? What's that say about you? She did not need to transport your snake but she did only to get this? What did Kara/NERD/Zoo Products get out of helping you out? This thread? Maybe her exact wording wasnt perfect for you but you got your snake. I would hate to see what kind of post you would leave if your snake arrived with so much as a pimple on it's a$$.
I'm sorry but your whole attitude really stinks bro. Just to give you an idea of what kind of person Kara is. I bought a normal from her about 6 months ago, not exactly a "payday" so to speak for NERD. Since that time I have gotten constant immediate e-mail responces from her, I have taken the tour of NERD (with Kara) 3 times all with different people which can take over an hour each time (NO COST MIND YOU) and she has taken the time to hand pick FT rats for me to make sure my boy is getting the perfect size. Let me end this by saying you are way off base with the accusations your slinging around, you can be pissed and have your issues but you are attacking a person who at the very least did you a favor. You should be a little more appreciative.

Exactly. No, you're not a customer. You're a person lucky enough to have someone take a risk and do you a favor. Like I said before, you should be thanking Kara not trashing her.

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
Wow.... Before Daytona I hadn't ever met, or even talked to Kara or any of her employees. I haven't ever bought anything from her, either. During the show in Daytona I was introduced to her, and even with all the people running around and talking and asking to look at stuff, she was very friendly, and even allowed us to hold NERD's amazing new morph. She was a bit rushed, but like I said, there were thousands of people milling around and trying to get her attention, and there were all those animals to look after. I was plesently suprised that she really is just as helpful and friendly as everyone said (many times people exagerate a bit with people they like or don't like).
And yes, customer service is very important in almost every industry, but have you never had a bad day? or a stressful one? Wether it's stupposed to or not, if someone has had a crazy day, it's going to show thrugh in the way they act a bit. I work in a pizza place as a waitress, and if it has been really busy, I may not be quite as friendly as I normally would be. I still try to be nice and smile and what not, but when I'm not really thinking about it, I may come off as a bit 'miffed'. I hope I don't, but noone can completely hide their feelings like that. Give people the benifit of the doubt, and if they are still rude (over more than one meeting or contact or whatever) then form your judgment. Let Kara and her employees be human and have emotions, with out forming a rock soild judgment.

ZING!
As a side note, I've never met Kara in person, but just judging by reading some of the posts that she has written (which 90% of the time is her helping people), I wouldn't even hesitate to say that she is an awesome person for taking time out of her busy life to STILL help other people.
and...

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
I have been following this thread for the last few days and everytime i go through it, it just boggles my mind. How can you be so ungrateful when she did you an extremely huge favor during an extremely busy time? And instead of focusing on and thanking her for transporting your snake for you safely, you want to complain about how she may have come across to you. She already posted on here explaining and apologizing to you, and you still want to be upset about what you perceive to have happened. No I have not met or even spoken to Kara or anyone from NERD, but her transporting your snake for you tells me alot about her character. She didn;t have to do it at all, but in her doing so it shows me that 1. she cares about fellow owners 2. she cares about snakes 3. and it is not just her/ NERD's snakes that she cares about, she cares about all snakes. If I were you, no matter how she may have been perceived to have come across, I would just be extremely grateful that she did you this favor at all.

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
I really just wanted to say that even though Kara and I had NEVER met/talked before Daytona...when she did meet me she was more than nice enough to stop and talk with me for a couple minutes. I even stopped her in the hallway before the "Big Show" and she took a couple more minutes to just chat about hair.
She totally could have blown me off and said she was too busy to talk...and I would have completely understood...but she didn't.
I personally think she is a wonderful person with a fantastic personality.
I can't wait to see her again and all her BEAUTIFUL snakes!
Maybe the op should step back for a second and look at all the chaos that was going on there at the show and just appreciate the fact that they had such a great person HELPING them.
Kara and Kevin...you Rock!

Re: NERD/ZooCreatures
you know what, you guys are right. it was probably all a mix of 2+ individuals stressed out weekends, and poor judgement on my side. It is true, she did do me a favor by taking my snake with her NH, having me slip out of a $50 shipping fee. And i goofed up by talking the smack.
well.. that's life. I'm sorry if i offended anyone, especially Kara, as she was one of the main subjects of this rant, though ZooCreatures did put out a rude tone over the tele. customer or not, that still doesnt fly. Probably one of the employees bad day. Not something to put against an entire Company.
Thank you for everything, Kara
