Sure, the history is written...but they could have used better dialogue.
The Spartan captain's son is killed, and he laments "I never told him I loved him!"...I mean, c'mon! That's soooooo cliche'd.

I don't plan on seeing it :) Ever read Rotten Tomatoes? They do movie reviews--or, rather--they gather reviews and then come to a concensus. Their concensus?: "A simple-minded but visually exciting experience." http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/300/

The movie still ruled. Saw it again today, and again there was another applaud at the end.


Just consider "300" the mens version of "The Notebook". :D

I've read a few reports from journalists that have made comparisons about this to the iraq war, and parts of the current middle eastern strife. However, it is based on the acutal battle and the graphic novel.

I really liked it. As for critic reviews, there have been a few movies that people really loved and the critics hated. Fight club is one example.

i was gonna see it on friday but the last 2 shows were sold out so i saw it on saturday.it wasnt sold out but it was still packed.

too much talking in some parts but the action was good.i expected more blood from a movie like this though.

*update* I've now seen "300" 5 times. I know. I have a problem ...

:( aparrantly so ive heard VUE or the odeon aint gonna show it where i live :(
