lol.. I still don't like to see a horse dragging his nose in the dirt.
I ride H/J, dressage and western.. my family has QH's tenn. walkers, and my TB. There are horses of each breed that I like.
Re: Where do You draw the line??
I'm at the line for all pets in this tiny apartment. We've got room for the hatchlings, but I promised the Mrs no more critters until after we've moved and settled in. All kinds of grand plans. But till then... just the baby VBBs.
I have ideas for specific projects in the future, and I will draw the line at 4 rabbits as 3 leave a pretty full litter box as is. But as for snakes... not sure.
I know I want to add more VBBs, 1.1 dwarf boas either bluefields or caulkers, 1.1 mojave BPs(I'm keeping the first super mojave I make! Although Gomez gets the first go at the girl!), 1.1 Trinkets... And Karen wants a pet gopher snake. No giants for us. But those are the ones I'm dead set on for sure. Can't yet... but someday! Don't know as that's the line, but that is the plan. So far. ;)
Re: Where do You draw the line??
i have one german shep mix, one rabbit that poops a lot, a hamster, fishes, 3 pacman frogs, and three ball pythons

Re: Where do You draw the line??
My parents drew the line for animals with me!!!
Re: Where do You draw the line??
33 balls
1 boa
1 pac man frog
10 rats (breeders...used to have over 90 but just got rid of them all and I have a good friend who lives close by who im buying from now)
and soon to be a savannah monitor (today or tomorrow ill be picking him up)
Im drawing the line there.........for 2 more months :D We'll be getting in a big shipment of CH imports in march so we'll have roughly 800 more snakes, possibly more......
Along with that we plan on adding a bunch of recessive visual females and lesser and cinny females.......can't wait....
Great collections so far everyone!!
Re: Where do You draw the line??

3 Hedgies
1 of the most spoiled dogs on the planet
A trillion rats and some mice

I am working on drawing the line, but... Its so hard!
Re: Where do You draw the line??
I draw the line when I run out of money. Alot of my animals are special needs.
I have,
2.0 dogs; a 14 year old lab mix with a heart condition and a shih tzu from the humane society I volunteer at.
1.4 cats; 13 year old orange tabby w/ possible cancer, 12 year old tabby with liver disease and hyper thyroidism, 7 year old tabby, 4 year old DSH with FIV and a urinary problem and a 3 year old tabby.
2.0 guinea pigs; less than a year old abbsisans(SP?) Milo and otis.
2.0 dwarf hamsters; I started out with four but both of the others died, they are getting pretty old for dwarf hamsters around 2 years.
1.0 cockatiel; 7 years old.
0.0.1 Ball python; less than a year old.
4.5.10 fish. Varing ages. I used to have around 20 betta, but a cut back and got some guppies and cories and what not.
If I had the money I'd have waaayyy more. I also lost my baby, a five year old ferret to cancer about a year ago.
Re: Where do You draw the line??

the dragging of the nose i hate too, i also hate to see ppl pulling on their horses mouth though (most english people, to ask for a nice headset), what really annoys me is when they do that funny slow canter thing with the horse's nose on the ground. I always want to ask them how they would like doing that. lol.
Re: Where do You draw the line??
Hah yeah.. I don't like to see people jerking on the reins either. You desensitize your horse that way.. you ask the gentlest you can to get the response you want, then you get a horse that is very receptive to you.
My horse wouldn't do a nose dragging lope for anything.. he much prefers the race-horse gallop. LOL
