All excellent points Nate. Chances are, however, that they will produce more than just one albino (or any other recessive) and will likely put the others up for sale.

I'm not sure if you understand the word PROBABLY. I'm simply saying that you shouldn't assume that more expensive is better quality. OMG in now way should that EVER be thought.

EX: If your a red bull fan, i don't agree with you at all. Your prolly thinking that your getting a ton of energy drinking a red bull cuz they have so many commercials and are so expensive. If you read the back of the can, you see a bunch of big words you dont understand so you assume its really important. My friend... you are a sheep and have been eaten by the wolves. Red bull has almost nothing but fructose glucose (sugar) as energy. You get almost nothing for the $3 you paid for a tiny can of it and you can get about 10 times as much energy from a 25 cent cup of coffee. The only reason red bull is so expensive is because of how much they spend on advertisement.

Therefore... I dont believe you should buy a more epensive snake just to show people how much better you are cuz you got a better snake cuz you paid more. Thats about as dumb as thinking Jared from subway got skinny JUST because he sat arond eating subway. Uhhhhh............ no

one thing to think about, don't just shop the snake, shop the breeder! finding the best deal is always good, finding a breeder you trust and you know will take care of you in any situation is better!! think of it kind of like insurance, if a problem happens or a situation comes up. a good breeder and business person will take care of you and work things out. most of the "cheap deals" and/or "low ballin" breeders won't. TSE (top shelf exotics) is one of the best examples of this, sold alot of hets, had very good deals/prices, had the highest trader rating on fauna! now try to find them or get your money back or get your snake you paid for :2cent:


establishing relationships with breeders and building trust is my advice.

hets are only as good as the person selling them!

I make a good living ... I don't care how much it costs, price is irrelevant to me ... I drink red bull because I like it and the colors of the can go well with my leather pants. :rolleye2:

It's hard to compare a $3 buzz and a living animal. :rolleyes: But continuing with your same scenario setup, consider it more like purchasing from different stores. I'd much rather purchase from almost any other store than from Walmart. I do not like the Walmart stores in my area because they lack customer service and the hassle is not worth my time.

Customer service is huge when considering the purchase of an animal. A good breeder will have feeding records and basic history on every individual in their collection. They will also be willing to answer as many questions that you have before and after the sale. Whereas many people will sell you a snake and you are on your own with any question or problems you may encounter. Established breeders are there for you now and down the road. You can't beat that!
