Wow thats sad then because that now means we have to people to avoid that are unable to send the PROPER snakes at the PROPER weights! Someone might have mentioned to get a refund but i did not see anything about KEEPING the snake also!

So now we are trying to deal with a "this happened to a friend" situation here? Information from an unknown person filtered through Andre? Andre, just my opinion but if your friend is into snakes and needs advice, it's pretty darn easy to create an account here and ask for advice himself.

Sorry but I agree with Jamie completely, this complain about a snake and hope that the breeder would rather take a bath than deal with you is a dangerous path to walk down. Things happen even with the best breeder, so you act in a businesslike manner, you resolve the issue (privately if at all possible) so that both the buyer and seller are satisfied but in the end, in my opinion, it's still about the buyer doing his/her homework first. If someone rushes into a purchase, not doing the hard work of gathering facts first, then ends up screwed....sorry but for me that means shared responsibility and doesn't entitle you to a free snake.

Personally when Mike and I start selling snakes we'll be very careful of transactions with minors. Not because minors are less than adults, but because legally there can be issues there that will not benefit us or the minor.

When I was training and selling horses very very very often I was contacted by minors. I always took the time to answer their emails fully and asked that their parents contact me for any further assistance.
A few times I did deal almost entirely with the minor because their parents simply didn't want to be a part of it. Though I made sure the parents were aware of every aspect of the transactions and that the parents were the ones who signed the paperwork.

i have to agree with jo on this one. andre, if your friend wants advice, have them create an account and ask for themselves. if this is your deal and you just prefer to pretend it was someone else because of the deal you just had go bad with MKR, then i suggest you rethink your plans to be a breeder until you are older.

    just my 2 cents,

This isn't the first thread that Andre has started about one of his friends having problems, is it? It seems like every time something like this is posted, it is impossible to understand and a lot of things just get thrown up in the air that probably shouldn't...
