So, call me a net idiot, but I've never been on a chat before....how does it work???? I will definately be there though, I just need to know how to do it!!! Is it by phone, like is there a number to call, or is it completely on the computer, and I have to log in somehwere or something???

When the chat room is open, Smulkin will post a link for you to click on to "enter." It's not voice chat. It's a big window that scrolls the messages everyone is typing. They can be kind of hard to keep up with, if it's busy and you're new at it...but you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly, I think. Pretty simple stuff.

I wanted to make a suggestion. As much as it might be a problem for some, and I probably won't be on, you might want to try Y! Chat w/ voice. That, or make a conference with Y! Pager.

A live chat with real voices??? that would be cool!!! Then when people post on the forum, you can imagine the voice speaking attached to the poster. :)

EXACTLY! Yes! Skype's also good for small conferences of five, but Y! chat is great for a group of people who want to voice together. Make a private room and invite. ^_^

Well, the point of the chat program being used here is that it is connected to BP.net. There is no need for folks to download anything or log in anywhere else, so long as you are already logged into BP.net.

I hope you don't think I was being meddlesome, Judy. I just figured that if people wanted to, they could just go through http://chat.yahoo.com and chat that way. As long as you've got speakers you can hear people with mics. O_o

I can, however, understand the reasoning for keeping things closed to BP.Net.
